Goal: To build lasting relationships of trust with property owners, managers, and Southview employees through communication, quality, and efficiency.


Description: It is the responsibility of the Landscape Care Rep (LCR) to maintain positive relationships in order to retain key clients and improve the brand image of Southview Design. The LCR is responsible for maintaining, renewing, and selling additional services to a portfolio of clientsThe LCR is to ensure that all work expected by the client is performed to the standard of both the client and Southview Design. The LCR will estimate sell, coordinate, and perform quality checks for maintenance and enhancement work.  It is important that the LCR is self-motivated and excellent time management is essential.



  1. Develop and maintain long-term, loyal client relationships, which lead to a minimum of 90% renewals within your portfolio
  2. Maintains awareness and provides feedback of customer relationship and the customer’s perception of services performed
  3. Regularly visits portfolio properties to monitor quality, communicate, perform Landscape Site Assessments, and direct work being performed
  4. Proactive communication with clients, timely communication when questions or needs arise, and sets expectations with clients and production staff of work to be performed and timelines for services to be completed
  5. Responds timely to all inquiries and proposal requests
  6. Meet or exceed annual landscape enhancement goals
  7. Proactively present proposals to correct deficiencies as well as to enhance Clients property
  8. Solicits business opportunities that meet or exceed sales objectives
  9. Assists in estimating function for maintenance, enhancements, and snow contracts
  10. Prepares and presents proposals in a complete and professional manner
  11. Assists and advises on collections of outstanding funds
  12. Maintain client information and generate proposals utilizing Aspire- the company’s internal management software. 
  13. Understands and assists with the ongoing company relations by representing the company in a positive manner for the purpose of maintaining a positive brand image and building relationships that lead to new business
  14. Understands and exemplifies company core values
  15. Ensures safety procedures are being followed at all times
  16. Uphold strong relationships with production personnel to ensure contractual items are being provided to standard

Job Requirements:

Daily Demands: Should be a strong advocate of proper horticultural care, have project and people management skills, and be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.  Should have the ability to interpret landscape plans and exercise proper plant healthcare knowledge.  Must be able to work independently and be self-driven by prioritizing importance of duties and be able to change/adjust plans quickly and efficiently.


Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Horticulture (preferred), Agronomy, or related fields of study, with minimum of 3 years’ experience in Landscape Management Operations.  Be able to operate a computer and be proficient with Microsoft Office. Be able to consistently communicate in an efficient and effective manner on the telephone or in person.  Complete required paperwork daily. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus. Driver’s License required.


Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50lbs on a regular and consistent basis, move about the work site.  Exposed to exterior elements (i.e. pollen, chemicals, cold and heat etc.). Requires extended periods of activity including, walking, standing, kneeling, bending and lifting, up to 100% of a workday. Time in the field may be equal to or more than 50% of time.
