Reports To: Delivery Supervisor
Delivery Drivers efficiently deliver the right products to customer accounts in a professional, safe and timely manner without accident or injury. They provide a high level of customer service and maintain a professional rapport with retail personnel.
Drive tractor-trailer or express truck in a safe and professional manner to deliver all product to licensed retail accounts using proper collection and charge procedures.
Control and safeguard all inventory and equipment assigned to driver following prescribed maintenance guidelines including pre and post-trip inspections.
Operate all equipment including pallet jack and hand truck in a safe, responsible and professional manner.
Complete all assigned deliveries promptly in an organized and efficient manner without incurring unnecessary overtime.
Manage, rotate and maintain company product in retail accounts, executing work order instructions and picking up empty pallets and kegs.
Maintain proper control of product and receivables for which you are responsible including accurate check-outs of loads and check-ins of returns/empties, and reconciliation of invoices/receivables during driver check-in.
Develop knowledge of all aspects of the job including products, accounts, routes and paperwork.
Communicate all retail opportunities/issues to delivery management and/or sales team.
Interact respectfully and maintain dialog with inter-company departments and customers.
Follow all security procedures to safeguard associates, the facility and prevent product loss.
Perform work tasks safely, and contribute to an overall safe work environment, reporting any unsafe conditions.
Follow all company work rules and regulations.
Report to work as scheduled.
Perform other duties as necessary.

High school diploma
Class A Driver’s License required
Previous beverage experience preferred
Acceptable driving record and insurability
Current local route delivery experience
Experience with a handheld ordering device
Customer service oriented and a professional and positive attitude
Competent math and reading skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Ability to be flexible with alternate work schedules
