Position Summary

The Security Specialist position consists of 1) managing the physical security protection of all Clay Lacy Aviation employees and facilities, 2) Airport and local employee and clientele security during domestic or international flight operations, 3) TSA requirements. The Specialist will develop and implement security standards and ensure that they are followed by all company employees. This position will oversee managing a budget for security operations and identifying assistance from employees at remote locations. In addition, the Security Specialist will be working with third-party vendors to ensure the safety of our employees and clients while operating both domestically and internationally. You will require knowledge of TSA security, programs, and protocols.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage a global security plan for Clay Lacy including but not limited to 1) managing the physical security protection of all Clay Lacy Aviation employees and facilities, 2) Airport and local employee and clientele security during domestic or international flight operations, 3) TSA requirements.
  • Ensure the safety of employees and clients within the workplace.
  • Identify and protect company assets through the development and implementation of security protocols.
  • Make sure that all employees follow security procedures and guidelines through training programs and assessments.
  • Perform security process evaluations and inspections.
  • Prepare the organization and staff for external inspections.
  • Manage the budget for security operations.
  • Control security department spending.
  • Train security liaisons as needed.
  • Establish partnerships and work with third party vendors to best assist employees and clients.
  • Manage the overall security and regulatory compliance programs.
  • Manage the facility security cameras with the assistant of the Information Technologies (IT) department.
  • Support IT on the Cybersecurity program.
  • Set and clarify requirements and expectations with associates and leadership.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of processes and records.
  • Drive the creation of security and quality initiatives that continuously improve processes and mitigate deficiencies.
  • Work flexible hours to meet business needs.
  • Successfully pass a security background check as prescribed by the TSA.

Qualifications

Experience

2 to 3 years’ experience in a related position.

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of TSA regulations for Part 91 and Part 135 business charter operations.
  • Understanding of physical security at aviation facilities.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with others.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations appropriately.
  • Experience in managing security operations, personnel security paperwork, and review processes
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
