Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related IT discipline
- 3+ years of experience with object-oriented PHP web application development
- Experience working with PHP 8
- Experience working with a PHP framework such as Symfony or Laravel (Symfony preferred)
- Thorough understanding of OOP (object-oriented programming) principles
- Knowledge of test-driven development and experience with PHP Unit
- Experience working with a front-end framework such as React, Angular, or Vue (React preferred) and understanding of responsive and “mobile first” design approaches
- Experience working with SQL and thorough understanding of the underlying database principles
- Experience with RESTful APIs development and integration
- Thorough understanding of Git-based version control
- Experience with project management software such as Jira
- Understanding of Agile development life cycle
- Strong logic, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work well in the distributed multi-cultural team environment
- Proactive team player qualities
