Under the supervision of the Site Director and/or Multi Site Manager Academic Specialist provide SEL, literacy or STEM instructor for our summer school age program for K-5th grade students.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere to our students

Provide positive opportunities that engage students to express, and create

Be actively engaged with the students at all times

Provide, and support, opportunities for students to learn new skills

Actively assist the teacher, and provide general classroom support

Provide guidance and instruction to individual students or small groups
-
Provide literacy, SEL, or STEM instruction
-
Lead project based curriculum as designed by SU
-
High expectations with critical classroom management skills
-
Facilitate theme-based projects that align with curriculum
-
Daily classroom preparation
-
Attend all training and staff meetings
-
Provide safe and quality care to students
-
Adhere to all Scholars Unlimited policies as stated in the staff manual

Allow for flexibility in order to support the team and program as needed
-
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Must have at least 3 months (460 hours) of full-time or equivalent satisfactory and verifiable experience with school-age children (ages 5-12). Volunteer work may also apply. (This can be shown through a letter from a previous employer.) Must be able to complete/attend all paid pieces of training including First Aid and CPR within 30 days of hire date.
