Nichols College invites applications for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Sport Management, with start date of January or July 2023. This is a non-tenure track, three-year renewable appointment with the opportunity to request transfer to tenure track. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate or graduate courses each semester, holding regular office hours, providing service to students and the college, and engaging in relevant and appropriate scholarship and/or professional activity.

The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in sport management or closely related field from an accredited higher education institution, as well as an active research agenda. Candidates who are ABD will be considered and are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will have a passion for effective and creative teaching, with an emphasis on experiential learning. Industry experience, such as in sales, marketing, or sponsorship, is preferred.

The Sport Management Department, housed in the School of Business, offers COSMA-accredited degree programs in Sport Management, Sport Marketing & Content Creation, and Sport Sales & Strategy. The program emphasizes practical application, with students completing multiple experiential and internship opportunities facilitated by our partnerships and relationships with professional sports teams and university programs.
