1st Security Bank is looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our growing dynamic Marketing team. As the Marketing Assistant you will be supporting our Washington and Oregon retail branches to make sure they have everything they need to succeed.   • Provide marketing support and assistance in coordination of all aspects of the internal and external marketing for the bank and holding company

  • Build and manage relationships with branch managers and staff

  • Respond to email and phone requests about branch marketing collateral

  • Partner with the Marketing Manager to oversee the process of routing and reviewing assets

  • Maintain marketing workroom and storage areas by organizing, managing, and replenishing inventory

  • Assist with preparing, formatting, and editing new account kits and other collateral

  • Partner with Marketing Manager to plan and execute branch events

  • Coordinate with branches to ensure everyone is using current marketing materials

  • Fulfill all branch marketing requests and get collateral and promotional items shipped to them in a timely manner

  • Utilize templates to provide branches with customized signage

  • Administrative duties supporting the Marketing Department Assist in managing social media channels and editorial calendar to ensure content is timely, relevant, and engaging 

  • Assist with website copywriting, proofing, page creation and updating as needed

  • Assist in event planning; seek vendors and quotes while staying within proposed budget. Occasional weekend and evening event assistance

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field given strong preference

  • Minimum of 2 years of Marketing and administrative experience, combined

  • Writing, editing, and proofreading skills

  • Understand and can utilize emerging platforms, digital media and web/social media management and measurement tools

  • Understanding of basic layout, graphic design principles, intermediate computer and social media skills a big plus

  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent organizational skills: sets priorities and meets deadlines

  • Upbeat, energetic, friendly, dependable and trustworthy

  • Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency about completion of assigned tasks

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills


To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the Adobe creative products suite including in Design, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat, as well as Microsoft Office products suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. Proficiency with other database software is useful. Solid word process and computer database skills with accurate keyboarding skills at 65+ wpm.

  • The employee will primarily operate in a general office environment, using office equipment such as a phone and a computer. The employee must be able to bend, squat, and lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally when accessing storage.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate as compared to a private office with light foot traffic and office equipment. The employee must be able and willing to work in an open environment and able to interact frequently with other departments
