Located on a beautiful, seven-acre campus in Fullerton, California, MBKU is an independent, private, non-profit, accredited educational institution. MBKU is home to the Southern California College of Optometry, the School of PA Studies and College of Pharmacy. MBKU owns and operates three health care centers at their clinical teaching facility, Ketchum Health, providing a PA medical clinic and vision center in Orange County and second vision center in Los Angeles.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Director will be responsible for strategic leadership and program management in the School of Physician Assistant Studies. The Director is assigned to the School on a 12-month full-time basis.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree or higher. Doctorate degree preferred.
- Must hold a current or emeritus NCCPA certification.
- Three years of full-time higher education experience at the time of appointment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The program director must be knowledgeable about and responsible for:
- Program organization
- Program administration
- Fiscal management of the program
- Continuous programmatic review and analysis
- Program planning
- Program development
- Supervision of the medical director, faculty, and staff
- Completion of ARC-PA required documents, and adherence to the Standards and ARC-PA policies

The program director must provide effective leadership by exhibiting:

- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, empathy, and possession of high emotional intelligence.
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks and projects while overseeing school operations and goals.
