Position Summary

The primary objective of Impact’s transitional and permanent Veteran’s Services housing projects is to offer professional supportive services to qualified homeless veterans. These professional supportive services include social service case management, referrals to legal services, basic financial counseling, medical treatment referrals (inpatient and outpatient), mental health treatment referrals (inpatient and outpatient), opportunities for group education, referrals to employment and training, and other services that help veterans reconnect with their community. The purpose of connecting homeless veterans to needed services is to help them to maintain stability in their lives. Participants in our programs are expected to eventually transition back into the community as independent members in their communities and overall society.

Essential Accountabilities & Qualifications


Essential Accountabilities:

  • Transportation Coordination: Provide transportation for Veteran Services residents to supportive services
  • Operate Organizational Vehicle: Maintain a clean and properly functioning vehicle
  • Properly use and maintain accountability of a gas credit card
  • Maintain and record daily schedule: a daily schedule of transportation to prearranged locations
  • Record keeping log: Maintain a daily travel and passenger log
  • Maintain vehicle safety protocols: Sign out the vehicle keys daily from the security office and turn in the log daily with the vehicle keys at the end of the shift
  • Coordination with other Veterans Services Associates: Coordinate and facilitate communication with other transportation drivers to provide coverage for Impact Services, Inc. requirements
  • Report any vehicle malfunctions or concerns to the maintenance supervisor in writing
  • Incident Reports: Complete and forward to the supervisor incident reports of any accidents, injuries or irregular activities
  • Delivery Coordination: Transport paperwork and supplies to designated individuals at prearranged locations


  • Valid driver’s license for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • One to five years of excellent driving experience
  • Minimum of a high school degree, associate’s degree is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate via Microsoft Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities
  • Proficient in maintaining quality interpersonal relationships as well as offering meaningful team contributions
  • Able to work independently, take direction, follow a work plan and support/work with the team to get things done.
