Primary Duty: Coordinating and participating in the development of approved products from concept to market and ensure they meet the customer expectations. This position will be responsible for our medical product which is primarily composed of research metadata and the analysis thereof.  This position is remote, with approximately 15% travel.  Candidates must live and be eligible to work in the US.


  • Collaborate with customers and prospective customers to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements and enhancements.
  • Conduct ongoing research regarding market trends, competitors’ offerings and pricing.
  • Create product proposals, including revenue targets, cost estimates, risks, opportunities, and determine total addressable market.
  • Create a product development and release plan and schedule, accounting for:
    • Engineering capacity
    • Project increase in value add versus costs
    • Marketing
  • Oversee all stages of product creation, including design and development. Prioritizing deliverables based on value added to the client.
  • Work collaboratively with the Product Development team to create, groom, and maintain the product backlog.
  • In a strategic manner, make direct contributions to product development.
  • Provide demonstrations and presentations of the product and relevant topics.
  • Proactively update internal and external stakeholders of product developments.
  • Review Product Testing Strategy to ensure key end user use cases are addressed.
  • Review End User Documentation for accuracy and level of detail for end user audience.
  • Work with Marketing to develop promotional materials and coordinate product launch activities.
  • Facilitate transition of product to Business Development.
  • Collaborate and support Business Development team as needed.
  • Promote product at industry events and during meetings with customers and prospective customers.
  • Manage product level user groups to seek customer input and feedback on new features.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems (or related fields)
  • At least three years experience working in and/or supporting senior administration in the college of medicine at a higher education institution. Preferably one that’s very active in research.   
  • Minimum of three years experience with agile software development
  • Minimum of two years experience work for business-to-business company
  • Exceptional presentation, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work remotely, be available during core business hours (typically 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST with one hour for lunch), with flexibility to work outside of core hours as necessary
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15% of working time
