Application Engineer

AESSEAL, Inc. is an international manufacturer of Mechanical Seals with global headquarters located in England. North American operations are managed from the Rockford, TN office.

The company is accepting applications for the position of Mechanical Seal Application Engineer. The position will be responsible for responding to technical product related inquiries for mechanical seals and seal support systems.

Job Description

• Assist field sales representatives, distributors, and end-users with product selection and verifying the mechanical seal / seal support system is fit for purpose/duty.
• Provide guidance on proper seal and seal support system operation for rotating equipment.
• Giving installation and set-up guidance to field sales representatives, distributor and end-users
• Additional support focuses on providing root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for mechanical seals.

• The qualified candidate should have comprehensive experience with fluid handling processes and equipment (pumps, agitators, mixers, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not essential if candidate has industry related job experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude required.
• Prior mechanical seal knowledge and seal support systems advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge of ANSI, API, and specialty rotating equipment is preferred.
• Failure analysis of rotating equipment preferred.
