Description

 POSITION SUMMARY

The Formulations Supervisor (“Supervisor”), under the direction of the Formulations and Product Development Manager, is responsible for the day-to-day formulation of GenCanna products through adherence to established protocols and regulations.

POSITION-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Position-specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist in regular process re-balancing to support modifications to production goals and product changes
  • Complete paperwork and documentation accurately and in accordance with company policy, including writing SOPs
  • Communicating concerns regarding quality and operations to the appropriate individuals at all levels while working to resolve said issues
  • Ensure essential working resources are supplied to teams on all shifts, update all production records and ingredients and consumables inventories as work is completed
  • Fill out incident reports as needed and submit them to the direct Manager
  • Oversee the formulation of bulk, private label, and white label goods according to master MMRs, recipes, and specifications
  • Submit samples to the QA/QC lab to conduct tests on materials and other ingredients to ensure that safety and quality standards are met as part of our supply chain management system
  • Under guidance of Manager, review investigations of Non-Conformities and Near Misses, train associates in determining root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Write formulation recipes based on customer specifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Desired education and experience include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Basic knowledge of Local, State, and Federal environmental and safety rules and regulations
  • Experience should include hands-on responsibility for production activities, including RCA and CAPA of identified issues
  • Familiar with OSHA safety compliance and adheres to current Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures
  • High school diploma or GED; STEM Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Three (3) years of experience in related position with an emphasis in formulations
  • Three (3) years of experience in an operations production/manufacturing environment
