American Aluminum Extrusion is seeking a Shipping Supervisor who is experienced and excited to take our inspection, packing, shipping, and transportation teams to the next level. We will look to you to implement continuous improvements, and metrics and drive accountability across the three-shift, 40+ person department. In this role, you will use your expertise every day to propel momentum forward.

As our Shipping Supervisor you will:

· Update and evaluate metrics utilizing ERP system (EPICS) to assess performance and implement enhancements.

· Oversee inspection and packaging of products, plan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries and utilize 6S techniques to organize work areas.

· Research and select ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers. Negotiate contracts and rates.

· Supervise, motivate, and lead 40+ person department in functions of logistics, warehousing, inspecting, packaging and transportation. Develop a workforce dedicated to a safety-first, zero-incident culture.

· Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements. Maintain records to demonstrate compliance. Manage drivers so they adhere to efficient schedules and comply with U.S. Department of Transport laws and regulations.

· Investigate and respond to any issues or complaints to eliminate reoccurrence.

· Communicate relevant department information to the appropriate teams within the site.

Job Requirements

To get the most from this role at AAE, you will need to have a strong warehouse background with a focus on service and the ability to lead and motivate others. For serious consideration, we would prefer if you have 3+ years of experience in a similar role. You will also meet these minimum requirements:

· Solid understanding of logistics, inspection and quality of final product, and inventory management.

· Ability to build relationships and partners through strong communication at all levels of the organization.
