Volunteer Ambassador

Job Details

Primary Purpose: Assist The Fine Arts Association with one or more of the below opportunities:

  • Customer Experience Support
    • Scripted building tours
    • Welcoming students and patrons
    • Helping with phones
  • Assist the Education Department with one or more of the below opportunities:
    • FAA Session Greeter at beginning of each session
    • Class assistants
    • Art room clean up
    • Student art returns
    • Art Installation
    • On site Holiday Market Place
    • Student Art Show
    • Dance Recitals
    • Counselor in training positions (CIT)
    • Assist with camp daily check in and check out
    • Assist with camp Before & After Care
    • Assist at camp lunch period and restroom visitations
    • Assist in camp class rotation
    • Assist at camp lunchtime
  • Assist the Administration Department Finance and Human Resources
    • Administrative filing encompassing Finance, Human Resources
    • Data entry and data file reorganization.
    • Assist in a reorganization of files and storage area
  • Assist the Marketing and Communications Department by attending in-person community events to spread awareness about The Fine Arts Association.
    • Liaison at selected Community Meetings
    • Ambassador Volunteer supporting off-site marketing events distributing collateral information.
    • Support the delivery, setup, and tear down of FAA off-site events kiosks within the community.
    • Deliver marketing pamphlets to various libraries, schools, museums, etc.
  • Assist the Marketing and Communications in digital and/or print organization.
    • Organizing and archiving marketing news articles.
    • Update mailing lists.
    • Organize and label photos and videos.
    • Scrubbing email lists
    • Pulling lists from databases.
    • Transfer content from CDs to a digital database.
  • Assist the Marketing and Communications Department with printing and postage needs.
    • Assist with seasonal mailings such as envelope stuffing, sealing, and sorting.
  • Assist the Performance Department as an usher or house manager for Fine Arts Association theatrical and concert performances.
  • Assist the Development Department
    • With annual Development Events for fundraising
    • Assist with annual mailings
    • File reorganization/archiving
    • Update & generate mailing lists
    • Data Entry

As various roles may require different attributes, we encourage you to apply and interview with our volunteer coordinator to learn more about each role and whether it will be a good fit for you. Some general things to consider:

  • Depending on role, you may be asked to pass a simple background check.
  • Some roles are upfront while others are behind the scenes.
  • Some roles are detail oriented while others are people oriented.
  • Some roles reoccur on a weekly basis while others may be seasonal. Our volunteer coordinator can work with you to find the right fit for your needs and schedule.
  • Some roles may require you to use computer software like Microsoft Word and Excel,
  • Some roles may require travel or a modest level of lifting boxes, setting up information tables, and tents.
