Education requirements – Bachelor’s degree in accounting at a minimum with progress towards CPA or CMA.

Work experience – Public accounting experience as a supervising senior or industry experience in monthly closing, reconciliations and project management is essential. Sharp analytical skills are expected.

Professional certifications – CPA license or CMA certification will ultimately be required for complete advancement.

Soft skills – Must be willing and able to work, and often lead projects, in a team environment. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills are of utmost importance.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

        Assist with monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts as well as managing various accruals, revenue recognition and invoicing.

        Assist with product costing and related analysis.

        Assist the controller and the CFO with cash flow projections and analysis.

        Analytical review of general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.

        Cross training on all facets of the accounting system and serve an integral role in the implementation of the new ERP system.

This position will have a defined path to assume the duties of the Controller.

This position will report directly to the Controller. Certain projects will also be given directly by the Chief Financial Officer.
