Job Purpose:

The Sprinkler Service Sales position will focus on providing clients with quotes to fix deficiencies that have been identified, or known services required to properly maintain their fire sprinkler systems, as well as providing inspection deficiency quotes. This position will also work with the existing client base on new installation quotes for new construction or new additions to their facilities. Sprinkler Sales will also focus on identifying new service customers and assisting in turning them into installation customers, and targeted installation quotes. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop appropriate pipeline to support sales goals
  • Review construction project plans and specifications for existing customer builds to develop quotes, acquire sub-contractor pricing as needed, comply with codes and permits
  • Establish contact list of prospects by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, working with established business partners, such as contractors, to become installer of choice
  • Work with clients, and prospects, on understanding our culture and importance of life safety
  • Maintain all sales data in 360, opportunities, meetings, quotes, close dates, prospects
  • Stay in front of clients to maintain a relationship that is not just transactional, built on trust, knowing what they need, how we can solve their problems
  • Develop solid understanding of the service and products offered by Lone Star so we are operating as a Team
  • Keep pipeline in service and new installation at required goal
  • Willingness to expand into nearby territories to find more prospects, and grow client base
  • Continuous goal of growing your goals each year



  • Extensive working knowledge of NFPA 13, 25, IBC, Arkansas Fire Code
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language
  • 3-5 years’ experience in fire sprinkler sales
  • Ability to self-sufficiently quote fire sprinkler work with little oversight

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. On the job training may substitute as equivalent
  • RME
  • NICET Level 3 or Higher


  • Be able to read and understand blueprints, specs 
  • Be well versed on computers
  • Have Microsoft Office Applications experience (current Windows version preferred), understand and have intermediate experience on Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Be comfortable dealing with the public and able to provide quotations for projects and service using the in-house tools available
  • Have a positive attitude and be self-confident
  • Be willing to learn both in organized classroom environments and on your own

Working Conditions

  • Work hours are as needed, minimum 8 hours per day at office or on job site.
  • Normal hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Monday thru Friday). Some work could require additional hours (nights, weekends) to get quotes done on time and to a customer or visit a site off hours to quote emergency work.
