Key Responsibilities:

  • Operates machines within assigned area. This includes troubleshooting, cleanup, setup, quality control, and waste control.
  • Performs chemical cleaning within assigned area, both on daily turnaround and unplanned intervals.
  • Escalates acute and chronic machine and organizational issues to Line Specialist and/or Lead as required. (Bullet 3)
  • Supports existing line operation documentation, such as Gemba boards, changeover checklists, 5S, centerlines, and CIL tracking, by completing the required tasks and documentation at the required intervals. (Bullet 7?)
  • Supports new initiatives when required by providing feedback, writing and training others on procedures, and adopting new tasks and documentation.
  • Accountable for keeping and maintaining assigned tools.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry
  • Available to work overtime and weekends on a seasonal basis

Technical Experience:

  • Previous experience operating pressure sensitive labelers (Krones) strongly preferred
  • Self-driven to address problems and find solutions head-on
  • Willingness to rotate through different machine center areas throughout shift

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Works with little supervision, but work is reviewed. Exercises discretion within areas of responsibility.

  • Decisions or actions may have a moderate impact on other departments and/or external relationships of the organization. Errors are usually detected after the fact and may result in moderate interruption and delays in work output.

Work Environment and Hazards

  • Work Environment is cold/damp
  • Employee works in a manufacturing setting with some exposure to heat, cold, dust, or other factors of minor inconvenience.
  • The position has some exposure to hazards that might cause minor injury.
  • Less than 25% travel is required for this position. Travel would be to other sites via airplane
  • Corporate Trainer must have availability and flexibility to work different shifts and days, sometimes for weeks at a time, to provide support and training to all of our employees. May need to work weekends or overtime as required.

Compensation: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
