We are currently searching for a Digital Design Specialist to join our team.

POSITION SUMMARY

The PHLCVB seeks a Digital Design Specialist to create innovative concepts for the organizations website (www.DiscoverPHL.com), digital platforms, social media and advertising promotions to help promote the City of Philadelphia as a global destination for meetings, conventions, sporting events, and overseas leisure travel.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Create compelling digital designs using the PHLCVBs brand identity and established creative guidelines to populate digital platforms.
  • Design and develop a wide range of sales and marketing materials for use in digital spaces, including presentation templates, proposals, e-newsletters, email communications, digital signage, toolkits, social media graphics, website graphics and other web-based tools.
  • Design and develop animated graphics for use on the PHLCVBs websites and in digital advertising.
  • Develop and produce final artwork for digital implementation.
  • Manage the resizing of advertising materials for digital placements in meetings and conventions, and global tourism campaigns.
  • Design and develop content utilizing email templates and presentation software. -mail template design and development.
  • Oversee the company's digital management system ensuring all images and videos are current and used strategically to support sales, marketing and communications efforts.
  • Work with peers in marketing to schedule and maintain documentation of job progression and track projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain an active and consistent overview of trends and/or tools/plug-ins necessary to keep us on the cutting edge of visual graphics.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

BS, BA or BFA in Graphic Design or visual communications. Minimum of 3 years experience working within a corporate, in-house design department or agency, in both print and digital media. Candidates advancing to an interview will be asked to show previous digital design work via a portfolio and/or website of their own.

 

Required Skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Digital Graphic Designer or comparable role.
  • A passion for design with the skills and talents to bring original concepts to life
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.)
  • Proven experience designing for digital platforms prioritizing mobile devices
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and other presentation technologies
  • Familiar with concept of video creative development, motion graphics and production a plus
  • Prior destination marketing and knowledge of Philadelphia a plus
  • Ability to interface with internal departments to achieve goals
  • Excellent organizational skills, creative thinking, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Marketing mindset
