Jr. Frontend Web Developer (Wordpress)

RIESTER is looking for a talented and passionate Jr. Frontend developer with experience coding custom themes, emails, and templates for various platforms to join our growing digital team. The primary role will include WordPress development. The ideal candidate is someone who is actively working in the WordPress realm, including theming and plugin development, and who is knowledgeable about the most recent WordPress releases and coding standards. This person will work closely with a talented team of developers and designers, is comfortable working directly with clients, and can articulate complex issues to non-technical people. The ideal candidate thrives on taking a project from design to completion.

ABOUT YOU

• You love working closely with the design team to translate design comps into websites, landing pages, and microsites using platforms like WordPress and Umbraco.

• You have a passion for front-end development and consider yourself an HTML/CSS/JavaScript expert. Familiarity with Microsoft .NET is a bonus.

• You keep up to date with the ever-changing world of web development.

• You know cross-browser and cross-platform issues and how to solve them.

• You are handy with Photoshop and XD, and your layers are clean.

• You enjoy shaving seconds off of page load times and can find and optimize bottlenecks.

• You know email markup tricks (Mailchimp, Hubspot, SalesForce), not to cheat your work, but to work faster and more efficiently.

• You have a solid understanding of web analytics tools (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics) and related analyses.

• You thrive on solving complex problems.

• Juggling multiple projects/clients simultaneously is natural for you.

• You know how to work with remote teams seamlessly and collaboratively.

• Creative, high-quality solutions are all you deliver.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-3 years of front-end web development and programming experience.

• You are a hard worker and don’t stop until each project is bug-less.

• You are used to version control using GIT, or something similar.

• You have mid-level WordPress skills.

• Experience with React.js is a plus!
