MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs general cleaning, troubleshooting and repair of various electronic equipment, Braillewriters and other mechanical devices following schematics, drawings and manufacturer’s specifications. Responsible for the determination for what parts are required to make necessary repairs. Maintains accurate records on each piece of equipment on which repair operations have been performed. Routinely uses assorted hand tools, measuring devices and test instruments. May assist in troubleshooting production assembly problems. Routinely lifts up to 40 lbs handling machines and retrieving stock. May also perform quality control inspection of incoming products. Other duties may be assigned.
EQUIPMENT, MACHINES, TOOLS, AND WORK AIDS:
Hand and power tools, voltmeter, ammeters, oscilloscope, frequency counter, audio generators, power supply, electronic components and wiring, drill press, grinder, arbor press, miscellaneous hand tools, clerical aids, etc.
