The Event Services Lead will manage and facilitate all elements of event production for the Museum’s events including, but not limited to, weddings, corporate events and, fundraisers.


  • Oversee events held in the Museum and serve as the main point of contact for staff, clients and vendors while onsite.
  • Be present onsite during the event, from set up to tear down.
  • Work with Event Services Coordinator to ensure the needs and requests of clients are met throughout the event from start to finish.
  • Monitor pre-event load-in and set-up by all event vendors; including caterers, production companies, entertainment, etc.
  • Understand and stay updated on museum policies and procedures regarding use of the facilities and guest safety.  Ensure that all elements of the event are conducted within these guidelines.
  • Maintain restrooms, trash, and cleanliness of the Museum during events.
  • Provide direction and management to additional NCM Staff, Cleaning Crew and Security Staff as needed.
  • Provide post-event feedback to Event Services Coordinator to ensure accurate follow up with client.
  • Monitor load-out, oversee cleanup, and sign out vendors after the event has ended.
  • Ensure the building is safely locked at the end of the event and the Museum is close according to protocol with security guard.
  • Minimum three years of event management experience.   
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate calmness under pressure and the ability to think critically.
  • Knowledge of health and safety guidelines in order to maintain a safe working environment for Museum staff and guests. 
  • Some heavy lifting.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
