To help us further our mission through a best-in-class application and matching platform, we’re looking to hire a well-organized and experienced Senior Product Manager. This person will work with us to execute our product strategy by retiring legacy systems and delivering new features to create organization-wide capabilities that help achieve business objectives.

 

Senior Product Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the success of products and capabilities that enable the administration of our programs across the organization

  • Discover user requirements through analysis and stakeholder interviews

  • Define success metrics and identify how they relate to business objectives

  • Facilitate the prioritization of feature requests across departments

  • Collaborate with software engineers to identify and assess solution options, facilitating the estimation of feature and story sizes

  • Translate roadmap items into detailed functional requirements and create mockups when necessary

  • Work closely with QA to ensure delivered work meets requirements

  • Measure and report on the impact of delivered work

  • Perform user training, gather feedback, and ensure knowledge is shared across departments

  • Document, troubleshoot, and prioritize support requests from internal and external users

 

Our Ideal Senior Product Manager will be experienced with the following:

  • Prioritization frameworks and client management

  • Crafting problem statements and articulating impact if solved

  • Writing user stories and functional requirements

  • Managing backlogs in project management tools

  • Running planning and refinement meetings

  • Creating documentation and performing user training

 

Our Ideal Senior Product Manager will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems or Computer Science (or related)

  • 5-8 years Product Management Experience

  • A strong commitment to the importance of cultural exchange

  • Passion for technology and the impact it can have on the world

  • The ability to actively communicate, collaborate, inspire and motivate staff at all levels

  • The ability to think and act strategically and proactively

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Desire to consistently improve processes and open to new ways of working

 

We would love it if our next Senior Product Manager also has:

  • Startup experience

  • Enterprise software company experience

  • Computer science education or equivalent experience

  • Passion for open source and developer tools

 

Your first year will be focused on getting you well-versed on the organization’s needs and current capabilities while helping to deliver the features planned in our roadmap.You will report to the Group Product Manager who, in conjunction with the COO and CTO, has been working to progress the organization onto our digital platform and optimize the way we work to ensure alignment to business goals.

 

Salary Range: $130,000 to $150,000 annually

 

Target Start Date: April 1, 2024

 

Location:Hybrid; 2 days per week from our downtown NYC office

 

When & Where you'll work:

  • We currently offer a hybrid arrangement of 2 or more days per week in our NYC office. We reserve the right to revise our hybrid arrangement in the future.

  • Monday to Friday; 9:00-5:00 pm EST, option for flexible start and end times.

  • Approximately 35 hours a week, and up to 40 depending on project load and seasonality
