GENERAL PURPOSE: IT Reporting Specialist 
The IT Reporting Specialist will serve as a pivotal resource within our organization, primarily focusing on multi-departmental report writing, including but not limited to Quality, Clinical, Pharmacy, IT, Finance, Dental, Operations, and administrative departments. This role necessitates significant interaction with various departments, with a heavy emphasis on Quality, to fulfil numerous report requests.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: IT Reporting Specialist 

1. Develop, write, and manage reports for multiple departments as per their specific requirements.
2. Work extensively with the Quality department, focusing on HEDIS, UDS, GAPs in Care data.
3. Mine data from various sources, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all data used.
4. Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to identify reporting needs, gather requirements, and deliver suitable solutions.
5. Utilize SQL, IBM Cognos, or other reporting platforms to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
6. Validate and cross-verify data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data analysis techniques and reporting platforms.
8. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: IT Reporting Specialist 

AA degree in Information Technology or at least 1-year prior analytical reporting, quality reporting, or other healthcare reporting experience desired

1. At least 3 years of hands-on experience with SQL, IBM Cognos, or other similar reporting platforms.
2. Prior experience in report writing and data analysis is highly desirable.
3. Prior experience in a health care environment, specifically a FQHC, is an asset.
4. Strong knowledge in Microsoft SQL databases
5. Experience with Electronic Medical/Dental Records system required.

SKILL & ABILITIES: IT Reporting Specialist 

1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
2. Proficient in SQL and familiar with IBM Cognos or other reporting tools.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to translate complex data into understandable reports or presentations.
5. Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
6. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
7. Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
8. Willingness to continue education as necessary to keep up with industry trends and advancements.
