JOB title:  Warehouse Associate (Shipping and Receiving)

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager

Job Classification: Full Time, $22.00/hr., Day Shift: 6:00AM – 2:30PM; Swing Shift: 2:00PM – 10:30PM ($3.00 shift differential)

Job Status: Non-Exempt

JOB PURPOSE:  This position’s responsibility is to package and ship outbound finished goods as directed by the shipping schedule, receive and stock incoming shipments and assist in other areas of shipping and receiving as workload dictates including manage physical inventory and delivery to local locations. The Warehouse Associate will be required to routinely work in the ERP system to maintain accurate and on-time delivery of materials based on production needs as well as preparing finished products, per customer work order, for the shipping department.  

ESSENTIAL Responsibilities: 

  • Moves inventory to and from warehouse and coordinates inventory transfers with related departments.
  • Delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items.
  • Maintains orderliness of warehouse racking.
  • Controls and manages inventory.
  • Operate general machinery used in the warehouse (Forklift, Order Picker, scales)
  • Follows company rules and regulations.
  • Ensures a high degree of detail and focus on every job.
  • Communicates with team to ensure efficient delivery of products.
  • Manage internal and external customer service requests promptly and resolve issues quickly.

NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 2 years’ experience working in an ERP/Company Specific Inventory Control Software.
  • Forklift experience preferred but will train.
  • Able to use pallet jack, and hand cart.
  • Effective communication:
    • Able to read write and speak English.
    • Able to keep accurate quality records.
    • Able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
  • Action driven and deadline oriented.
  • Self-starter and Reliable.
  • Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years’ experience in a warehouse role that includes working in an ERP System.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work with all levels of staff.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing/warehousing preferred.
