The Talent Acquisition & Employee Engagement Manager will design strategies that result in an engaged workforce. They will develop and troubleshoot processes and procedures that produce a high-quality workplace experience, from recruitment to offboarding. They will focus on three critical areas: talent acquisition and onboarding, professional development, and employee engagement. Additionally, they will oversee our internship and volunteer program and assist with special projects as needed. This is a key position on the People Operations team, and the successful candidate will take a proactive and engaged approach to the role and their interaction with employees across the organization, both in person and remote. The successful candidate will have a customer service mindset and be motivated to make a positive impact on the workplace.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (BA) or equivalent, with an HR or organizational development emphasis preferred.

Five years of proven and relevant work experience in an HR capacity, with an emphasis on recruitment, workplace experience, or learning and development.

Experience with human resource information systems (HRIS) and applicant tracking systems (ATS). Paycom experience is a big plus.

Experience with various sourcing methods, interviewing techniques, candidate vetting, and salary negotiation.

Experience with survey software such as CultureAmp or Qualtrics is a big plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment while engaging great time-management skills and the ability to prioritize assignments.

Strong computer skills; experience with Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Forms).

Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with professionalism.

A proactive "can do" attitude and a sense of humor.

Experience at a large nonprofit or social justice organization is a plus, but not required.

Ability to regularly commute to our San Francisco headquarters.
