Summary and Qualifications

Summary of Position

Leading the Summit Kids Ministry at the campus level, building relationships with families, and helping with leadership responsibilities at the campus.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Volunteer recruiting, training, and support

  • Kids Ministry experience

  • Able to lead large volunteer teams

  • Problem solving ability

  • Pace setter in areas such as character, evangelism, and kids ministry

  • A member of The Summit Church or willing and able to become a member

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Weekend Summit Kids Experience: The Overall leadership, execution, and implementation of the weekend in Kids Ministry at the campus

    • Organizing and communicating to the volunteers so that there are the proper number of trained and qualified leaders in each classroom

    • Overseeing the implementation of the curriculum provided by the Summit Kids ministry

    • Making sure that our volunteers have everything they need in order to have a successful weekend as defined in the Summit Kids EPOD

    • First Impressions and atmosphere of Summit Kids at the Alamance Campus

    • Responsible for fulfilling the mission and vision of Summit Kids at the Alamance Campus

      • Including the setup and teardown of the Summit Kids area at your mobile location

  • Leadership and Pastoring (if applicable) of Volunteers

    • Recruiting new volunteers on a consistent basis

    • Training the volunteers on a consistent basis for their task in the kids ministry so that they are well equipped

    • Leading the volunteers in love and appreciation so burnout is avoided

    • Build a group of committed Team Leaders

    • Monitor the spiritual health of volunteer leaders

    • Teach and model Gospel-centered teaching for volunteers

  • Partnering with the Families of the Alamance Campus

    • Build relationships with the families who bring their children to Summit Kids

    • Be a part of helping new families find a home at Summit through relationships, small groups, serving, membership, etc.

    • Be a first responder to parents with questions about anything in Summit Kids

    • Lead the partnership with families by pursuing Milestone Events (Parent Commissioning, Gospel & Baptism Class, Family Mission Trips)

    • Deal with difficult discipline cases in classrooms

    • Equip & resource your parents to be the primary disciplers of their kids

  • Other Responsibilities

    • Attend weekly campus staff meetings & monthly All-Staff meetings

    • Attend bi-weekly Summit Kids staff meetings

    • Help to follow up with First Time Guests as given out by the Campus Pastor

    • Assist in the overall health of the campus

    • Help plan and execute campus events

    • Help follow up with First Time Guests as given out by the Campus Pastor and/or Associate Campus Director

    • Serve at large events in Summit Kids (Christmas at DPAC, Kids Week, All-Campus Prayer Nights, etc)

    • Contribute to Central Summit Kids under leadership from your Campus Pastor
