Full-time position is available for a responsible, self-motivated, dynamic, and outgoing individual to join our team. Responsibilities include conducting HIV, syphilis and sexually transmitted infections testing, outreach, prevention and education activities focusing on transgender, gender-non confirming, gay, bisexual and other-same gender loving individuals, in a clinic and outreach setting; also educating other community members about HIV/STI prevention; actively recruiting and developing volunteers; participating in a condom distribution campaign; and performing administrative and other duties in-person and also using social media and phone apps. Gender-Affirming Care coordinator will also work closely with Resource Center adult programs (e.g. GenderBrave, Gender-Affirming Support Group) helping to coordinate outreach and for the trans, nonbinary, gender non-conforming communities.
Successful candidates should be able to interact with the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender community with ease, retain the ability to handle a moderate to heavy workload, be detail-oriented and lift 25-50 lbs., work flexible hours (some late nights and weekends required), and establish and maintain working relationships with diverse people, the community, and businesses. Experience with Microsoft computer applications is required.
Qualification and experience in Foundations of Testing and Navigation (FTN) is preferred but will train the right candidate. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; some college is preferred.
Must have own transportation. Mileage reimbursed.
This is a grant-funded position. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
