Podcast Host [Remote, Contractor]

The Art of Education University is looking to expand its podcast network. We are looking for individuals to write and host both ongoing and miniseries podcasts. Podcasters must have K-12 art experience, strong writing and communication skills, a confident presence on the microphone, technology proficiency, enthusiasm and knowledge of trends and best practices in art education, and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines. [Part-Time, Contracted, Remote]

Responsibilities

Podcasters submit written proposals and scripts, along with corresponding audio content for a predetermined amount of episodes, to be published as part of The Art of Education Universitys podcast network. Podcast hosts provide timely and clear communication with the Podcast Manager.

Required

• K-12 art classroom teaching experience.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Confident, natural, and engaging audio presence.
• Ability to connect with a wide audience.
• Excellent collaborator open to suggestions and feedback.
• Knowledgeable of up-to-date trends and best practices in art education.
• Passionate for sharing ideas with others.
• Organized and able to meet deadlines.
• Comfortable and proficient with technology and recording.

Work Environment

The duties of this position are typical of those performed in a home office setting. The majority of tasks will be performed while sitting at a desk. Recording will require a professional, clean, and quiet space.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift a laptop and other recording equipment as necessary.

VISUAL & TACTILE REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to view computer screens for periods of time. Ability to use a laptop keyboard with accuracy.
• Ability to hear at normal levels and through electronic devices such as laptops, earbuds, phones, and the like.

Compensation

Podcasters earn a base stipend per episode once the commitment has been met (all episodes are submitted and accepted and any other needed submissions are received).
