Description

Join our team at Community Action Marin as a Site Area Manager and make a difference in the lives of children and families in need! At Community Action Marin, we are passionate about creating a better world and breaking the cycle of poverty and inequity. As a Site Area Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of one or more centers, providing leadership, guidance, and support to staff to ensure compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards, Head Start Act, California Department of Education, and California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division.

You will have the opportunity to participate in leadership collaborative opportunities, represent Children and Family Services in a professional manner, and encourage creativity and constant improvement. You will also organize and maintain effective systems for daily operations, schedule staff shifts to meet center needs, and ensure staff compliance in all service areas. You will supervise and support staff in all content areas, including child development, health, mental health, disabilities, fiscal, ERSEA, and family services. You will use reflective supervision techniques to support positive growth, train, mentor, and support staff, schedule regular observation of employee performance, and support team building.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or equivalent. A Master's degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • AND A valid California Child Development Site Supervisor Permit is required.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in managing and leading teams of 16 plus, preferably in a non-profit organization or early childhood education setting.
  • Knowledge of DRDP & ASQ assessments, CLASS reliability.
  • Knowledge and experience with Head Start Performance Standards, Head Start Act, California Department of Education, and California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English Preferred
  • Knowledge of child development, early childhood education, and family support services.
  • Ability to effectively manage budgets and resources.
