Description

Our mission is to decarbonize the "hard-to-abate" heavy industrial sectors of the world economy with a new class of electrolyzers. Advanced Ionics is seeking a highly motivated Lab Technician to join our growing team that is dedicated to developing transformational “green hydrogen” industrial electrolyzer systems.

You are responsible for working closely with our lab manager to run experiments and collect data. This includes, but is not limited to, assembling, and installing electrochemical cells in our test stations, performing various tests, reporting procedures, and maintaining detailed test result databases.

You’re the right candidate for this job if you enjoy workplaces where everyone has a voice, if you’re passionate about solving climate change, and if you’re willing propose a new idea, write a memo, and turn a wrench (there is no job “beneath” any Advanced Ionics team member).

Key Responsibilities:

As a valued member of our team, you will play an important role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our products. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assemble electrochemical cells in accordance with established specifications and guidelines.
  • Install and monitor cells in test stations to guarantee proper functionality.
  • Execute experiments, collect data, and ensure tests are carried out accurately and on schedule.
  • Record, analyze, and report test results in a timely manner.
  • Maintain comprehensive test result databases to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Address questions or concerns related to test results as needed.
  • Develop and maintain testing procedures to guarantee accurate and consistent results.
  • Collaborate with research and development teams to identify new testing needs and opportunities.
  • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, including the recalibration of devices as required.
  • Manage equipment records and maintain daily work logs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technical and scientific advancements in your field.
  • Receive, label, and securely store samples for testing.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

We look forward to welcoming a dedicated and skilled professional to our team who can contribute to our ongoing success.

What We Offer:

  • This is a full-time position
  • Competitive salary
  • Vesting options for equity in a venture-backed, climate-tech startup
  • Health and retirement benefits, with flexible options
  • Generous vacation policy, with flexible company holidays
