Child Watch Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for executing day-to-day tactics and communication in support of ChildWatch operations. Operating in accordance with the policies, procedures, and standards established by the YMCA of Wichita Falls, the ChildWatch Coordinator ensures proper communication of YMCA policies to ensure the safety of the children in our care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assist Membership Director in hiring and training of ChildWatch and Party Host staff.
  2. Provide staff development through implementing training and on boarding procedures for part-time staff as it relates to Childwatch practices, policies, and operations.
  3. Provide continuous training including assistance with monthly meetings to develop ChildWatch staff.
  4. Responsible for scheduling of staff in accordance to the operating hours and needs of Tiny Town and Adventure Zone during operating hours.
  5. Responsible for handling scheduling, payments, and staffing for all birthday parties.
  6. Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA.
  7. Handles and resolves member concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
  8. Applies all YMCA policies dealing with ChildWatch.
  9. Work various hours and locations to meet association needs.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by the membership director.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum 18 years of age; high school diploma or GED highly desirable.
  2. Certifications required within 60 days of hire: CPR/AED, and First Aid.
  3. Minimum of two years childwatch/ childcare/ or babysitting experience.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  5. Self-starter, detail oriented, with good organizational skills
  6. Able to communicate clearly, and positively, verbally and in writing
  7. Must be flexible with work schedule
  8. Requires excellent customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
  9. Basic knowledge of computers.
