Overview and Job Summary
Keystone Science School is hiring a Talent Acquisition and Training Specialist to develop and implement the organization's full-cycle recruiting strategy, which includes sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and training talent. The Specialist will work in partnership with hiring managers to facilitate an efficient hiring workflow and create a positive experience for candidates and employees. They will work on a team of HR professionals to ensure that all aspects of HR, including hiring practices, are just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive. This position requires creativity to explore new ideas to attract talent, effective communication and coaching skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume of paperwork, onboarding, and training tasks with attention to detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Main areas of focus in this position are:
Recruitment

Develop and execute a recruitment strategy;

Develop tools and systems that streamline and improve the recruiting process while working within KSSs HRIS systems, Paycom;

Prepare job descriptions for all positions in partnership with hiring managers;

Prepare, post, and renew job postings;

Expand opportunities for marketing open positions;

Develop partnerships with organizations that can expand the ability to recruit diverse candidates;

Define and promote KSS employment brand and value proposition and communicate total rewards package to candidates during the hiring process;

Provide reporting and tracking on job postings and results;

Manage a recruitment budget;

Partner with hiring managers on applicant management as folks go through the hiring process;

Review applications, conduct interviews, and complete reference checks in an efficient and transparent manner;

Develop and improve an interview question bank and training for hiring managers and provide HR oversight for interview documents and professional references;

Measure results of recruiting strategy and performance;

Create term agreements for new employees and partner with hiring managers to ensure all details accurately reflect employment.
Onboarding

Develop and implement a comprehensive onboarding process;

Plan and conduct new employee orientation;

Works with HR Generalist to understand employee onboarding and training requirements as it relates to safety, risk management, and compliance;

Collect and enter new hire information and employee documentation for entry into HRIS/Payroll/Paycom;

Collect necessary paperwork and run background checks for all staff and Board members.
Training and Development

Develop and implement a comprehensive training plan plan for all employees;

In collaboration with Programs staff, develop and facilitate risk management and safety trainings required under ACA, Colorado State Child Care Licensure, and risk management and safety programs;

Conduct training and certifications for staff or coordinate with other internal and external trainers or vendors when applicable.
Other HR Responsibilities

Maintain candidate and employee records in an electronic format and in accordance with applicable laws;

Incorporate JEDI best practices into all aspects of HR;

Support employee engagement efforts where and when needed;

Lead or support special projects as necessary.
Compensation:
Salary range is $59,265 - $71,591 per year per year depending on experience, plus a generous benefits package including:
- 75% employer-paid medical and dental premiums for the employee and dependents;
- 100% employer-paid short- and long-term disability, $50,000 life insurance policy with matching AD&D benefit;
- Up to 120 paid PTO hours, 96 paid sick hours, and 80 paid holiday hours, pro-rated based on hours worked;
