Systems Administrator

We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Systems Administrator to join our team. In this position, you will play a key role in providing support for all areas of IT. You will update systems, troubleshoot problems, and provide hands-on support for IT issues within our organization, manage in-house computer software systems, servers, storage devices and network connections to ensure high availability and security of the supported business applications. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the IT Director, the Systems Administrator you will function in a managed services environment supporting a variety of departments.  The Systems Administrator’s primary responsibilities include monitoring, administering, and supporting the core services of the IT infrastructure.

This position will work within a hybrid virtual/in-person environment.  

Note: Based on qualifications, a Senior level role will be considered for this position.


•    Administers every aspect of the IT environment including but not limited to compute, storage, networking, telecom, security, and cloud technologies.
•    Performs systems maintenance, upgrades, capacity planning, and administration.
•    Responsible for the performance, uptime, and protection of the environment.
•    Manages Windows Server domain environment.
•    Manages telecom environment including Cisco Call Manager and Call Center.
•    Develops, documents, and standardizes preventative maintenance routines to ensure system availability and performance standards on production systems.
•    Manages Linux environment, assists with dev-ops infrastructure.
•    Manages networking environment including Ruckus Wireless, Cisco Core, Meraki Switching, and SD-WAN in an HA environment
•    Manages the Security of the environment including network scanning, NextGen AV, firewalls, policies and compliance
•    Manages VMware environment running on Dell Servers, Dell Compellent, and Dell networking
•    Develop and document policies and procedures
•    Train Help Desk staff on current or new technologies
•    Continually keep up with new technologies and help develop and implement the company’s IT strategy
•    Provide Level 2 support for the help desk and assist help desk on tasks during high ticket volume
•    Work with vendors on completing and supporting current and future projects
•    Scripting languages such as Powershell or VB
•    Other duties as defined by management


•    Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer/Systems related field required; Associate’s degree with additional experience or certifications will be considered. 
•    3-5 Years’ experience in Systems Administration
•    3-5 Years’ experience in an Active Directory Domain
•    3-5 Years’ experience in networking preferably Cisco or Meraki
•    Manufacturing and/or ERP experience a plus
•    SharePoint development and/or administration a plus
•    Dev-Ops and/or coding experience a plus
•    Linux experience a plus
•    Effectively lead detailed technical discussions and develop and present required briefing materials to ensure the customer’s needs are met.
•    Experience in a rapid paced, time sensitive, high‐quality environment
•    Must have excellent team and collaboration skills
•    Ability to work with minimal supervision
