The IT Manager – Southern Fulfillment Center (SFC) leads a team focused on all Information Technology requirements at the PlayCore SFC. This position manages the design, development, maintenance and support of all facility applications and ensures there is adequate employee, networking, and computer resources available to successfully support all IT needs of the SFC.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Plan, manage and supervise the activities of the SFC IT Department staff, including the development of the requisite skill sets for the staff to provide adequate systems support
  2. Manage the analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support of all local facility information systems
  3. Head the SFC IT Steering Committee, coordinating monthly meetings, agenda content and status updates.
  4. Coordinate the design, development and support of key interfaces between the various systems in use at the facility
  5. Relational data base analysis and design and data base administration for production data base systems
  6. Continuously evaluate the reliability, performance, and stability of the computer and networking hardware at the facility to ensure it remains suitable for successful plant operations.
  7. Project lead/support for the implementation of externally developed systems (e.g. CRM, ERP, AutoCAD customizations).
  8. Maintain an understanding of, and support the evaluation and implementation of, new and evolving technologies that are consistent with the corporate technology strategy.  Ensure that the facility systems are consistent with industry norms and corporate standards.
  9. Develop and manage the SFC IT Capital and Operating budgets
  10. Other activities as directed by the Corporate Director of Information Technology

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5 years relevant work experience
  • 2 years of experience in a managerial role



This position is 100% SFC based.  Possible limited travel examples would be to Corporate Headquarters, other corporately held businesses, training events, etc.


Computer Skills

  • Understanding of Microsoft .Net development environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools
  • Microsoft SQL server (Transact-SQL and SSRS)


Other Skills

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing concepts and techniques
  • Solid understanding of ERP modules (GL, AR, AP, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Manufacturing, etc.)
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Business intelligence, especially in sales, financial, and operational reporting.
