About the Job

Delve is looking for a Staff Accountant.  This role is critical to the accounting + finance department and the broader organization.  The role will partner with all departments to understand and support business processes, ensure proper accounting, and resolve reconciling differences.


The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and comfortable operating in an environment that requires a strong sense of urgency, a high level of personal and professional integrity, both in ethics and values, and someone who thrives in a team-based environment. This role is a hybrid position based Philadelphia, PA, and  will report to the Corporate Controller.


Job Responsibilities

  • Review general ledger accounts and preparing adjusting journal entries

  • Perform monthly account analysis and reconciliation

  • Assist with monthly close process

  • Responsible for all tax filings and compliance

  • Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues as they occur in a timely manner

  • Partner with other departments to understand and support business processes, ensure proper accounting, and resolve reconciling differences

  • Perform analytics over financial results to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements

  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and assist with special projects as needed

  • Assist with the financial audit, with full exposure throughout the entire process

  • Prepare of annual 1099 reports

  • Continually work to improve and evolve accounting processes

About You


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

  • 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably within a public company or Big 4

  • Strong quantitative skills and a thorough understanding of GAAP

  • Strong Excel Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with all levels and cross-functionality within the company

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA/CMA (or on track to be certified)

  • Experience in NetSuite
