We have an immediate need for a Technical Business Analyst to join our growing team to help build our next generation technology platform. In this role you will work closely with Product Management, Software Engineering, and other stakeholders, both internal and external, capturing and converting business requirements into functional software specifications.

This opportunity is remote-eligible from the Eastern or Central time zones in the United States. It can also be based out of our headquarters in Fort Mill, SC.

What you can expect:

  • In this role, Product Management / stakeholders will define what must be built. The Technical Business Analyst will then work with engineering to help them define how the item should be built. This role is responsible for accurate documentation of the engineering design into a detail requirements level in user stories.
  • Create workflow diagrams, host technical design sessions, and ensure technical details are captured in full for project slotting.
  • Act as a project liaison between Engineering and other cross-functional teams, within and outside the organization, to make sure requirements are documented and met.
  • Create acceptance criteria for user stories in Given-When-Then format to detail software specs
  • Build knowledge on data and metrics of the wider business for providing the big picture on the customer experience
  • Work with a variety of data sources and large data sets, pulling data for analysis using efficient SQL query development
  • Communicate complex analytical insights and business implications effectively
  • Assist the QA team in developing appropriate test cases
  • Actively manage the timeline and deliverables of projects, anticipate risks, and resolve issues
  • Participate in various Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, story estimations
  • Design UI/UX wireframes and mockups for web applications, aligning to the Product Management vision.

What you bring:

  • 3+ years of experience working in Business Analysis, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a comparable role
  • Detail orientation, technical acumen is a must
  • Must be able to clearly break down and communicate complex subject matter into concise, smaller pieces
  • A Bachelors degree or equivalent education, work experience
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, such as JIRA / Confluence / Visio
  • Experience executing and coordinating integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing
  • Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Experience designing UI/UX wireframes and mockups
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to construct efficient SQL queries for data analysis and problem-solving
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to influence and guide employees, managers, customers, and other external parties through good interpersonal skills
  • The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to analyze a Business Requirements Definition to determine processing flow, testing scenarios, and user requirements.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as Cucumber, SpecFlow, Jasmine
  • Experience capturing scenarios and requirements using Given-When-Then syntax
  • Experience with SQL tools such as MS SQL Server Management Studio
  • Experience in Healthcare or FinTech
