Qualification/Education/Requirements:
Must possess C.N.A. (Level 2 preferred) Acute Care endorsement through Oregon State Board of Nursing
Preference may be given to candidates possessing recent acute care experience.
Requires BLS
Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be highly motivated.
Able to perform duties without direct supervision:
Completes personal care on each patient as assigned or directed by plan of care and policies & procedures without continual direct supervision.
Demonstrates knowledge of age specific behaviors when caring for patients.
Strong communication and human relationship skills:
Observes and reports any patient conditions to the RN (i.e. abnormal vital signs, abnormal responses to care, change in patient behavior, patient complaints, etc.)
Flexible and willing to accept a variety of patient care assignments:
Self-directed and able to exercise judgement in prioritizing, accuracy and promptness in completion of duties.
Knowledge of limitations regarding scope of practice:
Accurately performs skills per policy and procedure.
Completes only those skills within CNA scope of practice for which competency has been demonstrated.
Via basic and advanced skills checklist work well with a team and have the ability to function in a fast paced environment.
Working Conditions Include:
Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to perform duties.
Ability to lift, pull and turn a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted and over 100 pounds with assistance.
Bend, stretch and reach to accomplish duties.
