Engagement Specialist II - Capitol Hill

Under direct supervision, the Engagement Specialist II works with staff to support the Library’s strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library.  

The hiring salary for this position is $21.15 hourly.  This is a half-time position working 20 hours per week.  This position is not exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.  

This position will be assigned to the Capitol Hill Library, which is located at 327 SW 27th Street in Oklahoma City, OK.

As of this time, the candidate will need to be available to work the following shift:

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm as well as one weekend shift - either Sunday 1:00 pm to 6;00 pm or Saturday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.*

*Hours are subject to change in accordance with the needs of the library.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university; and
• One year of customer service experience.

HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Enthusiasm for public service and the ability to work well with a diverse audience.
• Experience building sustainable community relationships.
• High level of comfort with program planning, implementation and evaluation.
