What We're Looking For:

We're looking for an IT Business Analyst who will be responsible for working with the IT Team in defining business processes and related workflows to bring world-class experiences to global customers. The ideal candidate is highly technical, comfortable working through large amounts of data, expert in building business cases, and enthusiastic about managing challenging projects across multiple teams. More specifically, this position requires quick and thorough understanding of various technical platforms and applications. Extensive writing and diagramming of technical requirements is required. Excellent verbal and writing skills are necessary to document features and communicate with various team members.

 

This position is eligible to work 100% remote in CA, TX, or NV.

 

What You Will Do:

 

  • Work with technology team to:
    • Analyze and explain to technology team submitted business and product requirements
    • Create technical specifications that encompass both the business needs and technical solutions
    • Analyze and document changes in requirements to maintain integrity of product technical specifications
    • Create and maintain reports to track progress against development plan
    • Educate and train internal business teams on product specifications, key benefits, and features
    • Prepare feature manuals and other supporting documentation as needed to present to stakeholders
    • Closely interact with other departments to understand business needs to ensure effective implementation
    • Create and maintain technical documentation following proper technical structure and process
    • Propose improvements to supported applications and maintain knowledge of all technical processes
    • Communicate with the offshore development team to ensure successful implementation.
    • Assist with grooming and Sprint planning sessions, and team Daily Stand-ups as needed.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing operation and team by:
    • Understanding business and technology needs
    • Creating, compiling, organizing, interpreting, and presenting data and other information to variety of audiences, including regularly scheduled and ad-hoc reporting
    • Developing, rostering and following-up on improvement/development projects and initiatives, working cross-functionally with product/technology, marketing, finance, customer service, and/or human resources teams
    • Understanding and diagramming pre and post changes to the technical landscape
    • Providing strategic advice in relation to future product development initiatives
    • Working with the team to drive customizations and roll out features/products
  • Contribute to team goals and success by:
    • Achieving desired results
    • Contributing ideas, providing solutions, and collaborating/contributing to efforts that build the brand and business results
    • Assuming additional responsibilities, where appropriate, assigned or initiated
    • Acting as a role model and champion of company and brand values, culture, vision and mission

 

What You Will Need:

 

  • Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically
  • Ability to prioritize in an ambiguous environment
  • At least 2 years of experience in product
  • At least 5 years of professional work experience
  • 3+ years in the field of technical documentation. Knowledge and understanding of technical writing methods, techniques, and formats.
  • Outstanding analytical skills, able to interpret business requirements and use cases combined with an ability to learn complex software applications quickly.
  • Working knowledge of technical documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate data-driven decisions that lead to results
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication (both, spoken and written), and influencing skills, as well as an ability to navigate a complex and unstructured cross-functional environment
  • Bachelor’s degree; an MBA is strong preferred
