What You'll Do

This position is responsible for a variety of duties in support of legal and compliance functions, including but not limited to the areas of sales, contracts, marketing, database management, research, and general corporate legal matters.  


Essential Functions 

  • Manage duties in an effective, timely, diligent, and transparent manner.  
  • Work with sales team on retail sales policies, onboarding retailers, vendor agreements, and other related activities. 
  • Work with licensing team on compliance relevant to regulatory and contractual obligations, such as administering contributor and contractual copies and ad hoc assignments. 
  • Assist with advertising compliance for studio and corporate marketing departments.  
  • Administer and review miscellaneous corporate contracts and agreements. 
  • Assist with audit activities, internal and external. 
  • Research, create reports and administer regulations which relate to marketing, sweepstakes, contests, and online promotions and maintain related database. 
  • Support publishing and distribution agreements and administration on an as needed basis. 
  • Draft various legal documents.  
  • Research and keep apprised of relevant laws and regulations related to job duties and report on risks in a timely manner. 
  • All other duties as assigned by management. 

What Makes You Successful


  • Minimum of bachelors degree in business administration, related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Paralegal certificate with at least three (3) years of progressive experience in a paralegal role or similar. Qualifying work experience may substitute for a paralegal certificate.
  • Proficient experience with Macintosh and Microsoft hardware and software, particularly MS Outlook and Word.
  • Significant experience redlining contracts.
  • Experience with creating and managing databases.
  • Experience in trademarks a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, federal and state rules of legal procedure and substantive law.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Self-motivated, versatile, flexible, and positive.
  • High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently with little guidance on a set of regular tasks.
  • Must exercise discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information.
  • Ability to balance demands that arise unexpectedly in a dynamic office environment.
