Document Control Specialist

Shift: 7am-3:30pm (Mon-Fri)

Primary Purpose of Position:                                

The Document Control Specialist produces formal documentation for production operations, including procedures for operating all machinery and operations processes, in compliance with applicable federal regulations as well as standards/ drawdowns. 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1    Consult with subject matter experts to ensure a clear understanding of documentation to be produced. Compile and analyze source material to be used to create technical documents. Write technical documents for business processes, procedures and training. Coordinate editing, composition, production, and delivery in accordance with specifications, standards, and other requirements. 
 2    Recommend use of layouts, graphics, drawings, tables, exhibits, illustrations and charts to clarify objectives. 

3    Review existing documents and make recommendations and revisions to scope, format, testing, methods of production and dissemination.  
4    Coordinate Quality activities to ensure technical documents are accurate and adequate, including in-process and final reviews

5    Maintain standards for all technical documents. Perform periodic audits and reviews to determine if updates and/or changes are required. 

6    Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policy  
7    Coordinate the routing of change controls for per- and post-approval. 

8    Coordinate with the responsible parties to ensure that activities are completed in a timely manner and in the order required.

9    Create and release production documentation packages. 
10    Route and track proposed documents for final release.
11    Assist QSC and act as back-up for job ticket review and approvals in CartonERP
12    Maintain Sample room is up-to-date with the most current samples.
13    Maintain Ink Drawdowns, most current available
14    Adheres to company GMP's (good manufacturing practices), safety procedures and all other quality processes.
15    The regular working hours of this position are five (8) hour days Monday-Friday; working hours may vary as specified by management.  Incumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management.

Position Specifications:                                

Knowledge of engineering practices to develop technical documentation

Broad training in a related professional field usually acquired through HS diploma or Equivalent education or an equivalent combination knowledge, skills, education or work-related experience.

Prior experience in Manufacturing and knowledge of GMP requirements preferred

Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills. 
Strong skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, ERP Software, and Excel software. 
Strong organizational skills
