Position Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing tour sales revenue within respective market(s) for Pink Adventure Tours (PAT) by cultivating relationships with existing customers, developing new customers, and by effectively representing the brand to designated market segments!

The Sales Manager strives for successful execution of their territory sales plan and achievement of their department sales objectives and goals. They assist the Director of Sales in executing programs that support company values and ensure PAT is the preferred adventure tour company in the Las Vegas market.

Reporting relationships: Manages Las Vegas sales partners and support staff (when applicable); reports directly to the Director of Sales; works closely with Operations, Contact Center, Marketing Team and Customer Service to ensure all operational requirements have been considered and met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Strategy

o Execute against annual sales plan that builds upon previous sales, optimizes market share and maximizes yield

o Work closely with the Sales Departments in other PAT locations, sharing leads and industry/market trends

o Stay abreast of competitor information in assigned market and stay updated on trends within the industry. Provide feedback to management team with respect to trends and opportunities

Sales Leadership

o Provide oversight for Las Vegas sales partners and support staff; delegate responsibilities as appropriate

o Maintain sales processes and customer service standards for the Las Vegas office

General Account Management

o Manage key accounts across departmental categories, managing relationships and bringing in new business: (Hotels, Resorts, Ticketing Agents, OTAs, Tour Operators) and Group (Corporate, DMC, SMERF, Group Tour Operators)

o Strengthen relationships and achieve growth with existing key accounts through regular contact and informative updates with respect to their productivity and progress

o Identify and develop new accounts with significant revenue potential; negotiate and execute new account contracts

o Track and report account performance; work with Director of Sales to set goals and create programs to make PAT the company of choice.

Leisure Account Management

o Develop and maintain strong relationships hospitality contacts throughout the Las Vegas area

o Educate partners about company tours, promotions, and commission/incentive opportunities

o Manage enrollment of new commission and incentive participants, processing required paperwork and creating profiles within PAT’s internal booking system

o Maintain profiles within booking system, updating information as needed through necessary channels

o Process monthly hotel commission and incentive reports, reviewing for accuracy and sharing with partners

o In addition to scheduled agency coverage, meet with active accounts face-to-face on a regular basis to retain business and develop new opportunities

o Provide rapid response investigation, resolution, and reporting for the purposes of PJT achieving and maintaining a preferred status

Group Sales Account Management

o Responsible for group sales account activity including timely response to inquiries, proposals, contracts, site inspections, clear and effective communication, planning and/or execution of event details, meet and greet groups as needed, post event follow up, ensure guest satisfaction

o Create and manage group bookings within PAT’s internal booking system and shared dashboard, updating as details finalize

Brand Management

o Maintain general knowledge of company policies and procedures as well as any tour changes

o Effectively manage brochure supply and distribution

o Attend local and regional trade shows to increase brand awareness of PAT as directed

o Attend and actively participate in industry associations to increase brand awareness and position PAT positively within the communities we serve

Qualifications

5+ years direct sales experience

Knowledge of local tourism/hospitality industry and relationships with local community contacts

Ability to work proactively, collaboratively, independently, make decisions, prioritize, react to opportunity, instill urgency in others and meet deadlines while maintaining flexibility and composure

High levels of self-awareness and situational awareness with an ability to appropriately adapt communication styles. Must be open to the influence, inspiration, and expertise of those around them.

Diplomatic and productive verbal and written communication skills

Organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining and communicating confidential and sensitive information

Presentation Skills - able to deliver effective presentations, engage as a credible trainer, and represent the company professionally at internal and external events.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel) and CRM software

Good quantitative skills

Ability to make good use of web tools and in-house technical resources, adapt to new technology, learn new programs quickly, and use computers to improve productivity

Ability to use computers, phone systems, calculators, copiers, and general office equipment

Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours with occasional nights and weekend required.

Availability to travel on a regular basis for local and regional tradeshows and sales presentations

Current driver’s license

Key Accountabilities

Achievement of department and personal sales goals while upholding standards set for profitability

Increase Las Vegas sales across departmental categories including Leisure (Hotels, Resorts, Ticketing Agents, OTAs, Tour Operators) and Group (Corporate, DMC, SMERF, Group Tour Operators)

Cultivate strong relationships to ensure PAT is the preferred tour company, resulting in repeat business

CRM Activity

Lead by example including working as a team and empowering each other, by being accountable to our guests, each other and the communities we serve, and embodying the Lead with Love foundational principles

Physical Requirements

This is a combination of administrative and Sales/PR work where occasional travel and meeting with business partners, hotels, community contacts, etc. is required to build relationships and the business

Primarily an inside office job; however, there is exposure to weather conditions when meeting groups, assisting with catered events, attending site inspections, and other outside events

Requires own vehicle to travel and meet groups/partners off site

Ability to walk in and around the community to meet with hotels and business partners

Ability to walk up to a mile and stand up to 3 hours on uneven ground

This position will involve sitting during travel and office work for extended periods of time, and requires the ability to move around office to perform duties, reach overhead, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Requires clear vision and adequate hearing

Ability to use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
