SUMMARY:  Receives (by telephone, fax, in person or email)  and processes requests for quotations, sales orders from customers. Process transactions utilizing a POS system.  Makes quotations on items, writes orders, and relays pertinent order information to customers. Coordinates with other departments in handling purchase orders and providing service to customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Make and receive sales phone calls
• Answer questions regarding product features and options
• Prepares and  presents sales quotations
• Receives requests through various means for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from customers, manufacturers, and distributors.
• Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service.
• Handle counter walk-in sales and pick-ups and process transactions in a POS system
• Operates various equipment to provide excellent customer service
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years experience and/or knowledge in the Agricultural Supply/Vineyard/Trellis Industry in a capacity that would provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.  Experience with POS systems as well as SAP or similar ERP system desirable..

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write  correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.   Fluent Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.  Excellent math skills for cash handling.  Excellent customer service skills. 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

Must have and maintain and valid California Driver’s license insurable by Company’s standards. Must have or be able to obtain and maintain Forklift Certification.
