The Operations & Communication Associate is responsible for streamlining and managing organizational processes, systems, and logistics as well as communication support.

 

Position Overview:

 


The Operations & Communication Associate at SCRI collaborates with our team of consultants and evaluators to support a diverse portfolio of Consulting projects as well as Research and Evaluation Initiatives. SCRI seeks to build the capacity of and disseminate research to youth organizations and schools to best meet the needs of youth, families and communities. SCRI prioritizes evidence-based practice and draws upon and translates research and insights to improve programming and experiences for young people. Projects range from strategy and planning to customized coaching, program design, and evaluation. The Operations & Communications Associate will have a keen interest in youth development, education, and capacity building, and will bring strong organization, logistics, and communication skills as well as attention to detail to this role.
The Operations & Communications Associate reports to the Partner, Consulting Services at SCRI. The Operations Associate may be asked to travel up to 20% when conditions are safe to do so.

 

Position Accountabilities

 

The Operations & Communication Associate is responsible for supporting the Partner, Consulting Services and Partner, Research and Evaluation Initiatives in streamlining and managing organizational processes, systems, and logistics as well as external communications and outreach. Internal operations management should be efficient and uniform across SCRI and employ systems that support organization scale and sustainability.

 

Specific accountabilities include:

 


Develop and leverage systems to track and manage organization operations (e.g. client contracts and invoicing);
Background research to inform approaches to specific projects, federal policy updates, communities/regions, or to provide context for a specific clients;
Management of SCRIs social media and support in developing and/or editing/formatting external communications;
Support SCRI Partners and team members in identifying and preparing for conferences and networking opportunities, including logistical management;
Support and develop procedures and tools to streamline the operations of SCRIs consulting service delivery, and manage project logistics, as needed;
Manage and catalog SCRIs internal and external tools, resources and assets;
Support management and logistics of consulting projects and/or research and evaluation initiatives, as needed;
Develop internal relationships across SCRI and BellXcel teams to identify opportunities for efficiency and making the best use of existing systems and resources.
Contribute to editing and formatting tools, reports, or other deliverables for internal and external use, as needed.

 

Position Requirements:

 


Candidate will have an associates or bachelors degree and 1-2 years of experience with a keen interest in education and youth development. Candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to support complex systems in fast-based and dynamic virtual work environment. Additionally:

Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, including copy-editing (prior experience a plus);
Excellent operational management and organizational skills, and strong systems thinking and documentation.
Proficiency in Salesforce Loft, GoogleSuite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Office;
Ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly;
Effective social research skills (prior experience a plus);
Commitment to equity as a cornerstone of BellXcels and SCRIs work;
Ability to work and collaborate across multiple time zones, as needed;
Potential for up to 20% travel when safe to do so, including the occasional weekend.
Desire to collaborate as a critical team memberbringing energy and passion to SCRI.
