Licensed LGBTQ+ Therapist (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) – Behavioral Health

Reports to: Director of Behavioral Health

Overview of Position: The Therapist will be an independent contract therapist fully licensed in the State of Texas as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW. Resource Center empowers the LGBTQ and HIV communities of Dallas by improving health and wellness, strengthening families and communities, and providing transformative education and advocacy.  Therapist will provide individual, couples, and relational counseling for adult and/or adolescent patients primarily in the LGBTQ+ population.   Therapist will need in-network status with most all major insurance providers or allow Resource Center and Physicians Revenue Group (PRG) to obtain in-network status credentialing and contracting on therapist behalf.  Therapist must have experience providing LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy.  The position provides flexibility for therapist to offer both in-person and telehealth counseling services.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • 10 billable patient sessions per week/40 billable patients per month with opportunity for more
  • Provide LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy for individual, couples, and relational patients for adults and/or adolescents
  • Minimal administrative tasks outside of patient care and maintenance
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with state regulatory and insurance network provider guidelines
  • Therapist expected to self-manage working and patient schedule

Skills Required:

  • Strong planning and implementation skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally and in writing) at all levels
  • Strong team building and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate Computer Skills in MS Office, Basic Windows Applications, and TheraNest or similar electronic record keeping system

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Current and clear License in Texas as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW
  • Knowledge and experience providing LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy
  • Previous experience working in a behavioral health outpatient setting
  • Therapist must secure and maintain own professional liability coverage
