Recovery Support Specialist Duties:
Verifying billable health insurance
Obtaining claim status via telephone calls
Entering information into the database
*Training begins at entry level, and includes ongoing programs to deal with the changing reimbursement strategies of health insurance providers.
Requirements:
Detail oriented
Accurate and fast typist (approx. 40 wpm)
Computer literate
Good communication skills are essential
Ability to communicate effectively with a positive attitude during all interactions
Knowledge of HIPAA, and UB04, CMS1500, ICD-9, ICD-10 forms required.
Knowledge of HCPCS, Diagnosis, and CPT codes is preferred.
High School or equivalent required.
