Pay Range: $18.50 - $22.85/hr
Reports to: Ski Patrol Director
Status: Full or Part-Time, Seasonal

Job Summary:

We attempt to carry out our assigned duties and responsibilities as directed, in a conscientious and professional manner.  Rapid Response Rescue Care is the primary job of the Mission Ridge Mountain Patrol, followed closely by Search and Rescue, Lift Evacuation, Skier Education, as well as assisting in Avalanche Mitigation work.  Participation and completion of all Patrol related training sessions are required. We also offer assistance to fellow employees.   Strive to carry out, and see the completion of  tasks as assigned.  A good working relationship with the Volunteer Patrol is also highly recommended.  We aim to comply with all company policies described in the Employee handbook (or any verbal and written policies as they develop) whenever possible.  Communication and cooperation with all company departments or Government Agencies is recommended. Attempt to maintain all personal and company equipment and uniforms in good repair and working order.

 

Qualifications

Essential Job Recommendations:

  • High School or higher education

  • Minimum 21 years old

  • Advanced Medical Certification (ie; EMT, OEC, WFR)

  • CPR Certified

  • Ability to obtain a Blasters Card

Skills Recommendations

  • Advanced skiing/riding skills. Ability to ski/ride all terrain in all conditions with loads.

  • Able to lift 50 lbs. and carry over distance.

  • Able to climb 100 ft. tall lift towers while carrying 30 lbs. for evacuation.

  • Good documentation skills, with strong verbal and written ability with the English language.

  • Strong customer relations, Guest Service skills.

  • Dependable work ethic, task oriented, follows instruction, and completes assigned tasks

  • Able to recognize and detect abnormal lift and mechanical sounds and conditions.

  • Able to work with explosives, perform avalanche mitigation work.
