Engineering Lab Technician

Our growing operations are in need of an Engineering Lab Technician responsible for assembling prototypes and performing a variety of tests in a lab environment. This hands-on position will collaborate directly with other team members from a variety of disciplines to serve our customers and bring new products to market.

Core Functions and Responsibilities

• Supports the entire new product development process, including concept, design, prototype and testing
• Performs research on new ideas through hands-on lab testing, experiments and data collection
• Designs and builds test fixtures for use in new product development and production
• Assists in moving new products into production by developing and documenting test procedures
• Verifies that new and existing products meet or exceed internal or customer specifications
• Provides hands-on training to production personnel for new products

Education and Experience

Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and 2+ years of experience or new graduates with Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology are encouraged to apply.

Knowledge, Skills, or Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of equipment used for production and general manufacturing
• Knowledge of electrical safety principles. Experience with general electrical test equipment required (Oscilloscope, Multimeter, etc.)
• PLC and C programming experience preferred but not required
• Ability to operate independently with a small amount of supervision and motivation to meet or exceed deadlines and an adaptability to find solutions to unique projects
