Clean Stock Technician:
Fall Creek is creating a world with better blueberries through its friendly, collaborative team spread across the globe. To help us accomplish this, we are seeking a qualified Clean Stock Technician. This position will be located in Lowell, OR.
This position is responsible for evaluating and maintaining plant material produced by the Clean Stock Program. Extreme attention to detail is required to meet rigorous quality and documentation standards. A Clean Stock Technician 1 requires the ability to balance performance and quality standards under tight timelines. This position is also responsible for performing work in a safe and efficient manner.
What you will do at Fall Creek:
- Responsible for evaluating and cutting plant material as directed using established protocols while meeting Clean Stock Program quality and contamination standards.
- Accurately recording production and testing data and documenting results from trials.
- Keeping detailed accounts of observations of plant quality, contamination, or abnormal growth.
- Builds and maintains in vitro foundation stock for distribution to our partner labs.
- Sits for long periods of time and uses a scalpel and forceps to propagate plants using sterile techniques.

- Experience working in a biology laboratory setting
- Experience in plant pathology and testing programs
- Knowledge of laboratory terminology and equipment
