Job Summary

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Treasury Services professional to lead a team of support and production functions that are focused on deposit growth, fee income generation, client experience, and collaboration across business lines. The Director of Treasury Services will possess a servant leadership mentality with an emphasis on supporting the business development efforts of their Relationship Managers and will partner with the support function to ensure a high level of delivery for clients and business partners. This role will also assist the Treasury Services Manager in product evaluation, discovery, and implementation of new technology. The Director of Treasury Services will manage a portfolio of clients and have expectations for new business development. This role will be encouraged to be visible in the community through active participation in events, networking, etc. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership ability, professional decorum, an ability to think strategically and see the big picture, a spirit of collaboration, a builder mentality, and a relentless focus on client experience and growth.

 

The Director of Treasury Services responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage deposit relationships that include treasury services
  • Annual performance reviews of direct reports and bi-weekly coaching to develop and support team members
  • Draft proposals and conduct pricing comparisons supported by the Treasury Sales Analyst
  • Participate in strategic planning for the department in partnership with the Chief Deposit Officer
  • Execute the department's strategic plan for growth and fee income generation
  • Manage overall relationship profitability and ensure profitable growth of the portfolios owned under the department
  • Act as a consultant to clients and a resource to the bank in developing and retaining business
  • Participate in community and professional activities to enhance the bank image and expand personal referral network
  • Attend conferences, tradeshows, and ongoing education to ensure products are competitive and to self-source new prospects
  • Conduct competitive surveillance to ensure products and services are competitive
  • Recognize opportunities to refer customers to internal partners for lending, mortgage, and trust services
  • Daily review of assigned overdraft
  • Develop Relationship Managers and act as back up if needed.
  • Display leadership in the area
  • Look for ways to continue to cultivate cross department collaboration
  • Budgeting and ongoing monitoring of department financial performance
  • Various committee participation
  • Frequent communication with Directors of Lending in various markets to ensure holistic client relationships are obtained
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Other activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • 5 years banking experience
  • Lending experience preferred, but not required
  • Sales experience including individual prospecting and partnering on new and existing client calls
  • Strong management skills and leadership abilities
  • Strong knowledge of market and industry trends
  • Ability to prospect and network at various levels within a company
  • Ability to travel to markets outside of Nebraska; valid driver’s license
